Tempowl helps you use separate email addresses for shopping sites, but it doesn't manage your retailer accounts. Decide how long you'll need to receive emails before choosing a temporary inbox or forwarding alias. Before changing, pausing, or deleting an address, check that you won't miss order updates or account recovery emails.

What the service offersUsing a separate alias for each store can help identify where emails came from, but it doesn't replace account security. Check for orders, returns, and account recovery needs before pausing an alias.

Temporary email requires no login. It gives you a time-limited address and web inbox where you can receive, read, and delete emails. It only receives messages; you can't send or reply from that address. For a one-time code, get an address from the temporary inbox on the homepage; before using it, make sure you won't need it for important messages later.
To use forwarding, log in with a code sent to your real email address. Each account can have up to 100 forwarding aliases. Emails sent to an alias are forwarded to the real email address used to log in, according to our service rules. You can pause, resume, or delete aliases. Aliases can't send emails, guarantee anonymity, or manage retailer accounts. See our Privacy Policy for details about data handling.
The website you're signing up for decides whether it accepts temporary addresses or aliases, offers discounts, or requires additional verification. Tempowl doesn't guarantee that every platform will accept an address, and you must not use the service to bypass eligibility requirements, purchase limits, or security checks. You must also follow applicable laws and the website's rules.
02 / Choosing an address for shopping accounts
A temporary email may work for claiming an offer with a one-time code if you won't need ongoing access to the account. If you might need to check member pricing, receive order updates, request a return or refund, or reset your password, use an address that can keep receiving emails—such as an active forwarding alias—not one that's about to expire.
Don't rely on a temporary email for important shopping accounts. If you already signed up with one, change the address in your retailer account settings while it's still valid, and verify the new address with the retailer. Creating a new Tempowl alias won't automatically update the old address saved by the retailer.
Using a separate alias for each store can help narrow down where unsolicited promotions came from. But an email's recipient address alone can't prove that a particular store sold or leaked data. See the Shopping Alias and Breach Lookup Table for ways to record and investigate aliases.
03 / Expiry and irreversible actions
Temporary email addresses are valid for 3 hours by default. Each extension adds 3 hours, up to a maximum of 24 hours. The expiry time shown in the tool and the result returned by the service determine validity. Save anything you need before expiry. Leaving the page open, copying the address, or extending it before doesn't make it permanent.
Changing your temporary address invalidates the old inbox; it doesn't create a backup for it. Pausing an alias discards new emails received while it's paused. Once resumed, it will receive future emails only. These actions have different effects: resuming an alias won't restore emails that were discarded.
| Action or status | What happens | What to do first |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary email expires | The address and inbox emails are deleted and can't be recovered. | Save any information you need and move long-term accounts to an email address you can keep using. |
| Extend a temporary email | Each extension adds 3 hours, subject to the 24-hour maximum. The inbox isn't permanent. | Check that the extension succeeded and note the new expiry time. |
| Change or delete a temporary address | The old inbox is invalidated. You can't rely on the old address to receive email, and its contents can't be recovered. | Handle emails in the old inbox first, then give the new address to any websites where you need to receive messages. |
| Delete an individual email | The email is deleted from the current service and can't be recovered by resuming email delivery. | Make sure you've used any codes, order numbers, or other information you need. |
| Pause a forwarding alias | Emails received while paused are discarded, not forwarded, and won't be sent later when you resume. | Check for pending orders, returns, and account security notifications. |
| Delete a forwarding alias | The alias will no longer receive email for you. Don't assume you'll be able to get the same address again. | First update the email address on related websites and verify the new address. |
| Emails already forwarded | Pausing or deleting an alias, or deleting its archive on our site, won't remove copies in your real inbox. | To delete those copies, remove them separately from your real inbox. |
Forwarded emails are archived on our site for 30 days; this isn't a permanent backup. Deleting an on-site record doesn't delete copies held by the retailer, sender, or your real email provider. For details about how we handle service records and personal information, read the Privacy Policy.
04 / Allowed and prohibited uses
You may use Tempowl for registration, shopping, and email workflows you're authorized to manage, provided the website accepts that type of address. Using separate addresses to manage email doesn't make an ineligible account eligible for an offer or make a breach of a retailer's rules acceptable.
You must not use the service to violate others' rights, break the law, or disrupt email systems. We may restrict an address, account, or access to the service in response to abuse, security risks, or legal requirements. If you believe a restriction was made in error, use the support link below to explain the situation.
05 / Account and credential security
Your real email address is used for login codes and forwarded emails. Keep access to it and protect its login credentials. Don't share verification codes or logged-in browser sessions. Sign out after using a shared device, and don't let the browser save a login state you don't want stored on that device. To manage your addresses, use the separate login page.
The temporary inbox token grants access to its inbox and should be protected like a login credential. Don't publish requests containing the token, debug logs, or screenshots of browser storage. Don't send the full token to support. Clearing browser data, switching devices, or losing the token may prevent you from accessing the original temporary inbox. Don't treat it as a long-term email address that you can recover through a retailer account.
If you enable two-step verification, scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password, then enter the 6-digit code shown in the app. The QR code and secret key can both generate verification codes, so don't share them. Two-step verification doesn't replace securing your real email account.
The PayPal and eBay emails shown on the homepage are interface demos and aren't affiliated with those brands. The demo code 418073 isn't a real login credential and can't be used to log in to Tempowl or either brand's account. For real emails, check the sender and source of the request. Never share account verification codes.
06 / Delivery limits and support
Whether and when an email arrives depends on external senders, sending queues, recipient filters, network conditions, and service maintenance. Auto-refresh only displays emails the service has received; it can't make a retailer send an email sooner or ensure delivery past your real inbox's spam filter. If a code doesn't arrive, check the address, the retailer's sending status, and your spam folder before trying again under the retailer's rules.
We don't guarantee that you'll receive a particular offer, pass registration checks on every platform, or have uninterrupted access to the service. Don't use temporary email as the sole notification or recovery channel for payment, financial, identity, or other high-risk accounts. If an important order is still in progress, keep a reliable inbox active so an expired or paused address doesn't make you miss a deadline.
We may update these terms to reflect feature changes, security needs, or changes in applicable law. We publish updates and their dates on this page; significant changes will be explained through an on-site notice or an applicable contact channel. Check the current terms before taking important actions. If you don't accept the updated terms, you can stop using the service, but first update the email address on retailer accounts and save any information you need. These terms don't exclude or limit any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law.
Tell us which address was affected, when the issue occurred and your time zone, what message appeared, and whether you have any pending orders. You can attach a screenshot with personal information hidden. Don't send login codes, temporary inbox tokens, authenticator QR codes, or secret keys. We'll reply by email, but can't guarantee we can restore emails that expired, were deleted, or were discarded while an alias was paused.

Use a time-limited address for a one-time code. To receive order updates, support messages, or account recovery emails, keep an inbox you can continue to access.
